Chandler's first toothfairy visit.

Chandler made Gammy's day when he had to call her from Cuba to tell her that he had lost his first tooth.

Chad has been in the states the last week having testing done. I love the "in minutes" on our cell phones. It has been wonderful talking with him, but I know his family misses him.

We miss all of them also!

Garden

Behind Papa and Maci, you can see our garden. I have pumpkins covering the back 1/4 of the garden. I like to have lots to give grandkids and the neighbors. We sometimes put up "Free Pumpkins" signs in the front yard. Last year we tried to grow the giant pumpkins. We got two, but they do not last very long and very heavy to lift. We have been able to do lots of freezer corn, canned green beans, beets, tomatoes. We have alot more green tomatoes coming on. Our apple and plum trees are loaded also. I don't want it to freeze for the tomatoes, but a freeze would be good for the apples.

I love this time of year--the weather is beautiful, cool nights and nice sunny, warm days. It is georgeous!!! Going for a walk now. See ya later!

Miranda is my assistant in posing people for pictures--she poses preety herself, don't you think?

Yesterday was a beautiful day!! In the afternoon, Lonnie, Liz, Sara, myself and kids went to the Greenbelt. We fed the ducks and geese--Miranda helped pose everyone for a photo shoot. We had a picnic then the kids played on the playground. It was a perfect day--surrounded by those we love!!

This is Maci, she is very much like her big cousin, Miranda and they love hanging out together.
She loves everybody.

This is Avri--look at those beautiful blue eyes!! She is so sweet and thoughtful of others.

Stetson is all boy--running, beating up his older brothers. Always happy.

Bailey likes to tease his older sister unmercilessly!

The Idaho Falls Temple is just across the river--only 20 minutes from our home.

Papa really is OK--he doesn't like to smile for pictures.

Jami's new home

Jami, Sterling, Kamy and Daeden bought a new home (new to them). It is beautiful and has a huge fenced backyard. Jami is going to have to learn how to take care of flowers and vegetable gardens.

This is Miranda, age 11 at Jr. Posse this summer. Posse is a group of kids ( Ithink they had 37) who ride their horses in parades, rodeos, do drills and compete thoughout the summer. They do horse games. Miranda loved it and it was fun to see her grow in her ability and comfort handling her horse, Smoke. She loved it and looks forward to it next summer.
Last weekend she and I painted her bedroom. It had been Pepto bismal pink and she was tired of it, so we added Faux purple and white and then she painted circle on the top with a white border between. I haven't gotten pics yet, will later.

Last night Lonnie was out in our pasture riding his horse, "Lady". He really would like to be a cowboy and is working hard to become one. He has been out rounding up cattle from the mountain, BLM land for rancher/farmers this fall and is suppose to go again on Saturday. Our friend and neighbor, Kevin is helping teach Lonnie the proper way to ride and how to handle his horse. Lady is a small Arabian, but is very good natured and will walk forever, very good for long distances. She is good with the grandkids also. I am not much of a rider, but someday, I may think about getting on her.

Sara, Maci and Avri came down (Glen is in Colorado for work this week)while he was riding, so they wanted a ride also. Maci would like to follow in her cousin Miranda's footsteps and be in Posse in the future. She asked Papa if she could borrow Lady to ride there.

Papa and Gammy took Daeden and Avri to the Idaho State Fair. We take the preschool kids each year. We all loved the horses, cows, sheep, rides and displays. It was a beautiful day!

Chad is Mr Strongman!

We are so proud of our Chad! He didn't even work out (except his normal stuff) to prepare for the challenge--he just thought it sounded like fun. He won the "Strongest Man of GTMO" on August 30th. Thanks Amy for the pictures. We love you keeping in touch with us!!!!

Sara and Glen are having a boy

Here is the first picture of Sara and Glen's baby--There is an arrow pointing to the important part. The Tech told Glen that that was the third leg and both Maci and Avri were in the room and asked what he meant by a "third leg". Sara had me go along and it was great to see the little guy move around alot. Everything looked healthy!

Today I had some extra time, so was able to import more of the ultrasound pictures. There is the profile, foot and hand by the babies face.
